How this website uses cookies, including optional Google Analytics cookies.
This website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. Some are essential to keep you signed in. Others, Google Analytics cookies, help us understand how the site is used and are optional. This policy explains each one and how to control them. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage and session storage, do the same job in a different place. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of them.
First-party cookies are set by this website. Third-party cookies are set by another company’s service used on it. Cookies are either session cookies, deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay until they expire or you delete them.
2. Strictly necessary
These make features you ask for work, such as staying signed in to member content. They cannot be switched off through our banner, because the site would not work as expected without them. They are not used for tracking or advertising.

Our website is delivered through Cloudflare. For security and to detect malicious traffic, Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie such as __cf_bm (30 minutes).
3. Analytics (optional)
We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google, to learn which pages are visited, how visitors move through the site, which buttons they use and where forms are left unfinished. This helps us improve the website. Google Analytics never receives what you type into our forms. We have turned off Google’s advertising features: no advertising cookies are set, and the data is not used to show you ads.

Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland: these cookies are only set if you choose “Accept”. Until then, and if you decline, Google Analytics receives only limited, cookie-free signals that cannot identify you or link your visits together.
Visitors elsewhere: these cookies are set when you first visit, and you can turn them off at any time by choosing “Decline”.
We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which measures page load speed and visit counts without cookies and without identifying you.
4. Third-party content
- Client videos (YouTube). The videos on our homepage use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). YouTube does not set cookies just because the page loads, but once a video plays, YouTube (Google) may set cookies such as
VISITOR_INFO1_LIVEandYSC, under Google’s own privacy policy. - Signing in with Google or LinkedIn. When you choose one of these, you go to that provider’s website, which uses its own cookies under its own policy. We do not control those cookies.
5. Changing your choice
You can change your analytics choice at any time with “Cookie settings”, here or in the footer of every page.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Browsers explain how in their help pages. If you delete aqg:insight-grant, you will need to sign in again to read member content. Google also offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
